The '''Matter''' plugin connects the Larnitech system with [https://csa-iot.org/all-solutions/matter/ Matter]. It works in both directions:
* Larnitech devices appear in Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings;
* Matter devices (including new devices paired over Bluetooth) are added to Larnitech and can be used in the app, scripts and Blockly.

The plugin runs on the controller itself. No cloud and no extra hardware are needed.

== Adding Matter devices to Larnitech ==

<li>Open the Matter plugin page in LT Setup.</li>
<li>In the '''Pair Matter device''' form enter the device pairing code or QR code (<code>MT:…</code>).</li>
<li>A device that is already in the network is found over the network. A new or factory-reset device is found over Bluetooth, and the plugin passes the Wi-Fi settings to it.</li>
<li>After pairing, the device appears in Larnitech as an item.</li>
</ol>
A pairing code shared from another app expires after a few minutes. If pairing fails with "Could not connect to device", share the code again and repeat.

== Troubleshooting ==
* '''The plugin page says "The Matter bridge does not answer"''': the service is still starting or has stopped. Wait a minute and press '''Reload'''. If it does not help, disable and enable the plugin.
* '''Apple Home shows the bridge as "Not Responding" after a reinstall''': the pairing data was deleted. Remove the bridge from Apple Home and pair it again with the QR code from the plugin page.
* Removing the plugin keeps its settings and pairings. They are deleted only on full removal (purge); after that all apps and devices must be paired again.
